You and he agreed on three meeting places in the event of a disaster. You’re about to enter the last one.

3 Steps from Prompt to Story

1. Take no more than 5 minutes to consider the prompt. Who is this character? Who is she going to meet? What does her world look like after the disaster? What will she do if he isn’t in the last meeting place? Think about your protagonist’s one driving fear and its ultimate realization or relief. What happens next?
2. Write for 15 minutes. Say yes to the first image or idea that pops into your head. Don’t think about where you’ll end up. Just write.
3. When you feel ready, share your story in the comments.
